Approximately 3,000 Youbeien crib mobiles have been recalled by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission due to a violation of the mandatory toy standard for batteries. The recalled products, sold on Amazon, pose a significant risk of serious injury or death if button cell batteries are swallowed. The compartment containing these batteries in the remote control can be opened without the use of common household tools, making it easily accessible to young children.

The recalled crib mobiles, branded as Youbeien, feature a timing function for music and lights and are available in pink and purple. They attach to cribs via a plastic arm and include a music box with four dangling plastic animal characters. The mobile measures approximately 17 inches wide by 20 inches high and comes with a remote control for music and rotation functions. The product packaging clearly displays the “Youbeien” brand name on the top left corner, “music rotating bed bell” on both the front and back, and the model number “RT668-17” on a white label on the rear. These mobiles were sold on Amazon by GKKBSJ between May 2024 and April 2025 for around $20.
Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the recalled crib mobiles. To receive a full refund, customers must dispose of the product and send a photograph of the discarded item to gkkbsjtoys@outlook.com. Alternatively, if consumers wish to continue using the crib mobile without the remote, they can dispose of only the remote control and send a photograph of the disposed remote to the same email address to receive a refund of $8. The crib mobile itself can still be operated using buttons directly on the unit. Consumers are reminded that button cell batteries are hazardous and should be disposed of or recycled according to local hazardous waste procedures. No incidents or injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.
