Federal safety officials are warning consumers to immediately cease using Queerick Infant Swings due to multiple safety violations that pose a serious risk of injury or death to infants. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) says the swings are improperly marketed for infant sleep and feature an incline angle over 10 degrees, directly violating federal safety regulations designed to prevent suffocation-related deaths.

According to the CPSC, the swings fail to meet critical safety requirements outlined in the Safe Sleep for Babies Act and the federal Infant Sleep Products Rule. Additionally, the products lack the mandatory safety warnings required for infant swings. Compounding the danger, the remote control unit for the swings includes a lithium coin battery but lacks the proper warning labels mandated by Reese’s Law, which governs the safety of consumer products containing small batteries. These types of batteries, if ingested, can cause severe internal injuries or death.

The swings were sold online through Amazon.com from October 2023 to November 2024 under the model name “WS-HB18,” at prices ranging from $100 to $220. The products are identified as “Baby swing Black grey” and feature a cloth seat with printed lion designs, and toy attachments shaped like clouds and pink whales. The CPSC has issued a Notice of Violation to the manufacturer, Foshanshipengjianfeiyukejiyouxiangongsi, based in China and operating under the name Power Transform. The seller has not agreed to recall the product or provide any remedy.

Consumers are advised to immediately stop using and dispose of the swings and remote control batteries according to local hazardous waste guidelines. The CPSC strongly cautions against reselling or donating these items due to the potential for fatal consequences. As a general safety reminder, infants should always sleep on a firm, flat surface in a crib, bassinet, or play yard without loose bedding or soft items, and should be placed on their backs to sleep.
