The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services is offering free vaccinations for school-aged children from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade at various locations throughout the county until the end of September. Montgomery County Public Libraries are encouraging residents to sign up for library cards during September’s Library Card Sign-Up Month, highlighting the wide array of resources available, from research databases to streaming services. Job seekers aged 50 and older are invited to a free virtual Employment Expo on Tuesday, September 16, offering networking opportunities with employers and job search guidance. The Department of Environmental Protection is also hosting an “Ask an EV Owner” webinar on Wednesday, September 3, to help residents learn about electric vehicles and available tax incentives before federal credits expire at the end of the month.

The Department of Permitting Services has launched a new online portal for applying for and renewing annual fire code compliance (FCC) permits, streamlining the process for commercial property owners and business operators.
