Ferrari North America has issued a recall for all 2023 to 2025 Purosangue vehicles due to a design flaw that may result in reduced braking capability. The issue stems from the layout of the fuse box’s power supply in relation to the passenger-side footrest. If these components come into contact, they can cause a short circuit that triggers the brake warning light and a dashboard message advising the driver to proceed slowly to a dealer. In such cases, the vehicle’s braking performance may degrade. While no crashes, injuries, or fatalities have been reported, Ferrari concluded the issue could increase the risk of an accident if drivers ignore the warning indicators.
To remedy the problem, Ferrari will install a plastic spacer between the fuse box and the footrest to prevent contact. The defect was first identified in a 2025 Purosangue in China, prompting the company’s investigation. Production of affected vehicles occurred between July 25, 2022, and February 18, 2025. The issue was resolved in production as of February 2025 through a revised manufacturing process.
