Per a July 24 announcement from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, approximately 100 FENGQS F7 Pro electric bikes sold online through Amazon have been recalled due to a serious safety hazard involving their lithium-ion batteries. The recall applies specifically to F7 Pro e-bikes with batteries labeled as having a 21.5Ah capacity and a production date of April 21, 2024. The brand name “FENGQS” and model number are visible on the bike frame, and consumers are advised to stop using them immediately. To receive a full refund, owners must write specific recall information on the battery, take a photo for verification, and dispose of the battery properly under local hazardous waste guidelines.
So far, FENGQS has received 13 reports of these e-bikes igniting, including two incidents that caused fires and an estimated $4,000 in property damage. Although the recall only affects a small number of units, the fire risk poses a potentially serious threat for consumers nationwide.

Consumers should not discard the battery in standard trash or recycling bins due to the elevated fire risk. Instead, they are encouraged to contact their local hazardous waste collection center to ensure safe disposal. Customers seeking refunds must submit photos to the company at recall@fengqs.work and confirm the battery’s disposal method. Additional details and instructions are available on the company’s recall page.
