The series kicks off with ACT Summer Storytelling at University Plaza on Monday, July 14 at 11 a.m., open to all ages. Music lovers can return to the plaza for the MDWK Music & Market series, held each Wednesday evening with live bands, food trucks, and drinks from local vendors. Performances continue on Wednesday nights at the City Park Bandshell with the Encounter City Park series, featuring live outdoor music. Sunday evenings will bring the Hagerstown Municipal Band Concert Series to the same venue, including special guests like Nicole Albright on July 20 and the Big Band led by Joel Guyton on July 27.

In addition to music, Hagerstown will host a key to the city ceremony on Thursday, July 17 at 1 p.m. honoring local NBA star Dennis Scott at the Hagerstown Field House. On Friday, July 25, families can gather in City Park for a free showing of Inside Out 2 with entertainment beginning at 7 p.m. Shoppers can visit the City Farmers Market at Hub City Brewery on July 20 and 27, noon to 4 p.m., to purchase local produce, baked goods, and crafts.

Athletes will have their chance to compete in the Annual City Golf Championship on Saturday, July 26 at The Greens at Hamilton Run. Entry costs $60 and includes 18 holes, lunch, and the opportunity to win prizes. Registration begins at 7 a.m., with play starting at 8 a.m.

All events are family-friendly and intended to bring the community together without added costs. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs for outdoor events and to check the City of Hagerstown’s website or contact the Community Engagement Office for more details.
