The recall impacts 112 motorcycles produced between February 4 and August 1, 2024. An estimated 30% of these may be equipped with defective tires that degrade faster than expected. The issue stems from a change in the supplier and molding process, which could cause the internal structure of the tire to loosen and deteriorate under normal use. While no injuries or warranty claims have been reported in the U.S., Honda has determined the defect poses a legitimate safety risk.
Owners are advised not to drive their motorcycles and to park them outside until the issue is addressed. If the tire is used beyond its recommended mileage, the rider could experience abnormal handling, heightening the chance of an accident. Although the tires are not expected to leak air, structural damage may still occur due to weakening of the inner ply-cord and surrounding rubber.

Honda has begun notifying dealerships and will begin contacting owners on August 25, 2025. Affected motorcycle owners will be able to bring their vehicles to an authorized Honda Powersports dealer for a free front tire replacement. Those who previously paid for a similar repair may be eligible for reimbursement under the recall plan filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
