Lifetime Brands, a global designer and marketer of household consumer products, is establishing a new distribution center in Hagerstown, Maryland. The facility, strategically located with access to major highways and the Port of Baltimore, is expected to create approximately 230 new jobs and serve as the company’s primary U.S. East Coast distribution hub. The move supports the company’s logistical efficiency and long-term growth initiatives.

“We are excited to take this first step towards realizing Lifetime’s infrastructure for the future steered by a relocation to our new Hagerstown distribution center in Maryland, and leading to execution of the initial phase of our multi-year growth initiatives,” said Lifetime Brands Chief Executive Officer Rob Kay. “Lifetime’s distribution centers are a core asset of our operations, and this new facility yields an expanded capacity of 327,000 square feet in a centralized location to maximize time and cost efficiencies of logistics and freight.”
The one million square-foot facility is being developed by the Trammell Crow Company and is set for completion by the end of 2026. It will replace Lifetime Brands’ current distribution center in Robbinsville, New Jersey. The relocation aims to improve time and cost efficiencies in freight and logistics operations. The company markets products under well-known kitchenware and home solutions brands such as Farberware®, KitchenAid®, Mikasa®, and S’well®.

To support the project, the Maryland Department of Commerce is working to approve a $1.4 million conditional grant through Advantage Maryland. Additional collaboration from the Maryland Port Administration and Washington County’s Department of Business and Economic Development played a role in securing the project. Officials highlight Maryland’s strategic geographic advantages, emphasizing the state’s transportation infrastructure and access to major consumer markets.

Local and state leaders have welcomed the company’s investment, noting the economic benefits and job creation for Washington County. The Port of Baltimore is expected to play a significant role in handling containerized shipments for Lifetime Brands.
