Gov. Hogan Visits Hagerstown for Unveiling of Final Designs for New Hitachi Rail Factory

HAGERSTOWN, MD News (10/18/2022) – Governor Larry Hogan today joined Hitachi Rail CEO Andrew Barr and other elected officials at the site of the future Hitachi Rail factory in Hagerstown for the unveiling of the final designs and images. The $70 million factory and 800-yard test track, expected to be complete in 2024 along Greencastle Pike, will create 460 direct jobs, sustain 1,300 jobs in the region and be capable of building trains of all types to meet the demand in the North American market.

Public schools have been serving all students free meals since the COVID-19 pandemic first disrupted K-12 education. In March 2022, Congress rejected calls to keep up the federal funding required to sustain that practice and left that money out of a US$1.5 trillion spending package that President Joe Biden signed into law on March 11, 2022.
