Authorities are investigating a structure fire that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Williamsport, Maryland. The incident took place at 14307 Clear Spring Road, where a 1996 Fleetwood Fourwind camper trailer sustained significant damage after a fire originating in nearby grass and brush spread to the vehicle. The estimated loss is approximately $10,000.

The fire was reported at 3:42 p.m. and was discovered by the owner, Ray Orndorff. No injuries or fatalities were reported. Williamsport Volunteer Fire and EMS responded to the scene with 31 firefighters, successfully bringing the fire under control in 40 minutes.
Investigators have determined the fire was accidental, caused by improperly discarded ashes. The flames ignited dry grass and brush, which spread to the camper trailer, burning an exterior wall before being contained. No arrests were made in connection to the incident.
