The fire originated in the interior living room of the duplex. Responding to the scene were 46 firefighters from the Williamsport Volunteer Fire and EMS, who worked for 40 minutes to bring the flames under control. The preliminary cause of the fire has been determined to be accidental, stemming from an electrical failure related to a router and its power wire. Fortunately, no injuries or deaths were reported as a result of the incident. The American Red Cross is providing assistance to the displaced occupants.
