The Washington County Republican Central Committee is accepting applications from registered Republican voters to fill an upcoming vacancy on the Board of County Commissioners. This follows Commissioner Wayne Keefer’s resignation announcement on January 28, 2025. Per Maryland law, the central committee must submit a nominee of the same political party as the departing official to the governor, who will then have 15 days to appoint the recommended individual.
