AMX Global has issued a recall for approximately 22,500 portable folding stadium seats due to a defect in the bleacher security hooks, which can crack and break, creating a fall and injury hazard. The recalled seats were sold under the BJ’s Wholesale “Berkley Jensen” and Black Sierra Equipment brands and were available at BJ’s Wholesale Club, Big 5 Corp stores, and online through Amazon from July 2022 to January 2024, priced between $30 and $50.

We know you value local news and entertainment that is free, open, and independent. Producing high-quality, paywall-free content isn't free. It takes time, effort, and resources to keep you informed and entertained. Unlike corporate media, we don’t have deep-pocketed investors or big advertisers funding our work—we rely on you, our readers and listeners, to keep Radio Free Hub City running. We're literally running on a shoe-string budget, but keep working hard to provide as much news and entertainment as we can.
If just 5% of local area residents became paid supporters at only $5 per month, we could meet our fundraising goals and continue expanding our news coverage depth while continuing to provide free access for everyone. So, if you'd like to help us in our continuing quest to improve our coverage, please consider becoming a paying supporter.
Will you be one of the 5%?
Thank you for supporting Radio Free Hub City!
Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the recalled seats. To obtain a full refund, they should cut through the fabric of the seat and backrest, photograph the destroyed item with their initials and the date, and submit the image to AMX Global via email at support@stadiumseatrecall.com. The recall affects seats with date codes “04/2022” for Berkley Jensen units and “05/2022” or “11/2022” for Black Sierra Equipment units, which can be found on the white tag on the bottom of the seat.
