The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m., when surveillance footage captured the suspect approaching the shop from the direction of a nearby Dollar General. The individual ignited a flammable device atop a window air conditioning unit and then walked away down Greene Street. Shortly thereafter, a passerby discovered the fire at 4:42 a.m., prompting a response from the Cumberland Fire Department and neighboring departments.

Fire crews quickly contained the blaze to an office area, but the business suffered extensive smoke, soot, and water damage throughout the building. No injuries were reported.
