The Town Hall will offer constituents a platform to share their thoughts on public safety, with each attendee given three minutes to speak. Senator Corderman emphasized that the goal of the meeting is not only to address concerns but also to provide an avenue for the public to suggest ways for city, county, and state governments to address ongoing challenges in Hagerstown.

“City residents, myself included, are not only city residents, but we are also county and state residents,” Corderman said. “While the Hagerstown City Council has had three follow-up meetings since our office sent them an open letter, there has been no direct engagement with the citizens of Hagerstown, the business owners in the city, or county residents who work in or frequent the city to voice their concerns and, more importantly, provide potential solutions to these serious and urgent issues. That is why we are initiating this meeting—to provide a forum for the public to have a voice.”
Invited to participate in the panel are include Delegate Brooke Grossman (District 2B), two Councilmembers (of their choosing) from the City of Hagerstown along with the City Administrator, and two Commissioners (of their choosing) from the Board of County Commissioners along with the County Administrator. As of this article, the five members of the Hagerstown City Council will not be available to participate as panelists.
