Additionally, the Board will discuss the growth and improvements in early childcare education programs through Maryland EXCELS and Maryland Accreditation. These programs are designed to enhance the quality of early childhood education and ensure that young children across Maryland receive a strong educational foundation.
A significant portion of the meeting will be dedicated to recognizing outstanding educators. The State Board will honor the Teachers of the Year for the 2024-2025 academic year from all 24 public school systems in Maryland. These educators have demonstrated exceptional dedication and performance in their respective schools and communities. Furthermore, the Board will celebrate the achievements of Bradley Absher and Maggie Arnold, the recipients of the prestigious Milken Educator Award.
