HAGERSTOWN, MD News (10/27/2023) – The Washington County Parks and Recreation Department announces Washington County Parks will officially close for the season on Sunday, October 29, 2023. Visitors are encouraged to continue enjoying the parks. However, amenities will be limited. Parks will reopen on Saturday, May 4, 2024.

Please be advised that restrooms will be closed with the exception of Marty Snook Park. The restrooms at the Guard Shack near the tennis courts, Pavilion 2 (Rainbow Playground), and Pavilion 4 (Dog Park/Bower Ave) will remain open. Water will also not be available at the dog park effective Sunday, October 29, 2023.

Pavilion rentals during the off-season will not be available and tables will be removed from most pavilions. Pavilion rentals for next season are being accepted.

If you have lost an item while visiting a county park please contact their office at 240-313-2700 or parkssupport@washco-md.net. All unclaimed items will be discarded on December 1, 2023.
