Bangkok on Franklin Celebrates Grand Opening

HAGERSTOWN, MD News (7/21/2023) – The City of Hagerstown welcomes Bangkok on Franklin to 4 East Franklin Street. The official grand opening and ribbon-cutting celebration for Bangkok on Franklin took place on July 19 and was attended by Mayor Tekesha Martinez, Maryland Small Business Development Center Washington-Western Region Business Consultant Herb Melrath, Washington County Business Specialist Linda Spence, City of Hagerstown Community Engagement Officer Brittany Arizmendi, City of Hagerstown Department of Community & Economic Development Director Jill Thompson, Business Development Specialist Doug Reaser, Economic Development Specialist Chris Siemerling, and Economic Development Coordinator Emily Conrad.

Bangkok on Franklin is owned by Hana Holmes, who started her career in Washington, DC, but for over a decade now has been serving her big-city flavors in this smaller city she chose for its charm and welcoming business environment. It’s one that enabled her to open two previous downtown Hagerstown restaurants, Thai Zap and Hana Thai.

“Healthy eating,” is what Holmes says Bangkok on Franklin delivers, “prepared with the finest meats, freshest vegetables, fresh Thai herbs, and adjustable spice levels, representing dishes from the central, eastern, and northern regions of Thailand.” Bangkok on Franklin specializes in two things: delicious made-to-order Thai cuisine and outstanding customer service.
