HAGERSTOWN, MD News (6/26/2023) – The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for portions of eastern West Virginia, northern and central Virginia, and central and western Maryland.
Scattered severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening. Damaging wind gusts and large hail are the primary threats along with the possibility of a brief tornado.
Additionally, there is a threat for flash flooding, especially east of the Blue Ridge Mountains this afternoon and evening.
Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
