HAGERSTOWN, MD News (6/22/2023) – Hagerstown Regional Airport (HGR) has announced its plans to conduct a comprehensive simulated aircraft emergency disaster exercise on Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. In an effort to evaluate and enhance the emergency response capabilities of HGR’s emergency agencies, the airport is now calling for volunteers to participate in this important drill. The exercise will provide an opportunity for various organizations to rigorously test their emergency action plans and strengthen their readiness for potential real-life situations.

Volunteers will play a vital role in this simulated emergency drill by assisting in role-playing as injured passengers. This involvement will allow HGR’s emergency agencies to test their response protocols and coordination in a realistic setting.
