Collaborative Effort Aims to Mitigate Flood Impacts and Engage Local Community
HAGERSTOWN, MD News (6/21/2023) – The Maryland Department of Natural Resources, in collaboration with the City of Hagerstown and with funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, will be hosting a public listening session on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. This important event will focus on addressing flood risk concerns associated with Hamilton Run, aiming to find effective solutions to reduce flood impacts and ensure the safety of the local community.
The listening session, which will take place at the Northern Middle School auditorium located at 701 Northern Ave. in Hagerstown, MD, is open to the public and presents an opportunity for community members to actively participate in the planning process. Scheduled from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, the session aims to engage residents and gather their valuable insights, ideas, and concerns regarding flood risk reduction measures in the area.
