HAGERSTOWN, MD News (10/19/2022) – On 10/18/22 at about 8:00 pm, Officers of the Hagerstown Police Department were in the Jonathan St area when they heard the sound of shots fired. As they were attempting to locate where they came from, the Emergency Communications Center took a 911 call. The caller stated that there was a gunshot victim in front of 55 Murph Ave.
Within moments, officers located the victim, later identified as Sharron Akraim Clark (age 45 of Hagerstown) with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers immediately began first aid and continued life saving measures until emergency medical service personnel arrived. Clark was transported to Meritus Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.
Criminal Investigators were called to the scene and Western Maryland Regional Crime Lab personnel responded to process evidence. This is an active investigation and any further information will be released as appropriate; no further information will be released at this time.
