Over the course of the next month, a contractor working on behalf of the county will be deploying a semi-automated vehicle to traverse all county roadways. This vehicle will be collecting detailed information about the pavement’s condition, including the extent of cracking, rutting, and the presence of potholes. The data compiled from this comprehensive survey will be instrumental in prioritizing maintenance efforts, aiming to ensure the ongoing safety and dependability of Washington County’s road infrastructure. Residents can expect this process to be underway throughout the county for the next four weeks.
