This summer, The Maryland Theatre will host “CandyFest,” a multi-sensory, walk-through attraction aimed at young children and their families. Spanning all four floors of the Performing Arts Center, CandyFest promises a whimsical environment with opportunities for themed photographs, games, hands-on crafts, and balloon artistry. The event is scheduled for July 25th and 26th, 2026, with varied entry times. Tickets for CandyFest are priced at $20 and include admission for one child and one adult.
In addition to CandyFest, The Maryland Theatre has announced a lineup of notable performances scheduled for the fall. On Saturday, September 19, 2026, attendees can participate in a “High School Musical Sing-Along.” Comedian Jay Leno is slated to perform on Friday, September 25, 2026. The following day, Saturday, September 26, 2026, will feature “CLASSIC STONES LIVE – The Greatest Rock And Roll Tribute.” Concluding the September schedule, the Doo Wah Riders will perform on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.
The theatre will be closed from Thursday, July 2nd through Monday, July 6th, 2026, in recognition of Independence Day. The Box Office will resume normal operations on Tuesday, July 7th, 2026, reopening at 12:00 PM. Standard Box Office hours are Tuesdays from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Wednesdays from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Thursdays from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and Fridays from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The Box Office will also open one hour prior to scheduled events, unless otherwise noted.
Tickets for all performances can be purchased in person at The Maryland Theatre Box Office, located in the theatre’s lobby, during operating hours, or by phone at 301-790-2000. Additionally, tickets are available 24/7 online through mdtheatre.org, which will redirect patrons to Ticketmaster.com for purchase completion. For those interested in exclusive promotions and updates, individuals can opt-in to receive text messages by texting “TIX” to 1 (833) 427-2603.
