This case is being prosecuted as part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), an initiative aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence by fostering collaboration between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve. The program emphasizes building trust, supporting community-based violence prevention efforts, and implementing strategic enforcement priorities. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland, in conjunction with the FBI Baltimore Field Office and the Baltimore Police Department, has been instrumental in the investigation and prosecution of this case. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Kim Y. Hagan and John Mark Mastakas are handling the prosecution.
It is important to note that an indictment is an accusation and does not constitute a finding of guilt. All individuals charged by indictment are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
