Stonehill was selected from a pool of over 350 nominees from across the nation. His inclusion among the 250 recognized individuals highlights his distinguished leadership, unwavering dedication to public service, and the tangible improvements he has brought to Chambersburg. These contributions are particularly noteworthy as the nation approaches a significant historical milestone.
During his nearly 17-year tenure with the Borough of Chambersburg, Stonehill has been instrumental in advancing a variety of critical initiatives aimed at strengthening the community. His leadership has been pivotal in significant redevelopment projects, the expansion and modernization of the borough’s utility systems, and maintaining some of the lowest utility rates in the state of Pennsylvania. These efforts have manifested in tangible projects that enhance both infrastructure and economic development planning.
Notable projects undertaken during Stonehill’s leadership include the development of solar and landfill gas generating systems, the construction of the Aquatic Center, a new Police Station, and the Public Works Campus.
