In a time where local news media coverage seems to be disappearing, your contribution is more important than ever. While our in-depth articles are for supporting members only, we won’t put our core news content behind a paywall, because we believe access to news should be democratized, instead of access for only those who can afford it.
But keeping the lights on and taking the fight to local accountability takes resources. Your monthly subscription directly funds our public records requests, website hosting, and time spent analyzing local government and events so you don’t have to.
We are the only newsroom in Washington County with facts-first focus, locally owned, independent, while keeping our core news content free. Will you help us keep it that way?
From 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the high school campus will be converted into a temporary mattress showroom. Attendees will be able to explore a selection of over 30 different mattress styles, available in all standard sizes. The event will feature various mattress types, including memory foam, hybrid, and traditional designs, all priced below typical retail rates. This offers a chance for families to acquire new bedding at a reduced cost.
Prominent mattress brands, such as Purple and Helix, are expected to be part of the inventory. In addition to mattresses, the fundraiser will also offer related sleep accessories, including adjustable power bases, premium pillows, bed sheets, and mattress protectors. All items sold will be new, custom-made to order, and will come with complete factory warranties. For shopper convenience, financing options and home delivery services will be available.
The primary objective of this event is to raise funds for the South Hagerstown High School Rebel Band. Proceeds generated from mattress sales will be allocated to essential program needs. These include the purchase of musical instruments, replacement of uniforms, funding for travel expenses associated with performances, and supporting broader performance opportunities for the student musicians.
The fundraiser is open to the general public, and organizers are encouraging community members to spread the word to friends and family. The event is positioned as an ideal opportunity for anyone considering replacing an existing bed, allowing them to save money on their purchase while contributing to a local educational program. The South Hagerstown High School is located at 1101 S Potomac Street, Hagerstown, MD 21740. For further inquiries about the event, interested individuals can contact Matt with Custom Fundraising Solutions at 301-351-0205. Additional details regarding featured brands and product offerings can also be found on the event’s Facebook page.
