The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a recall of approximately 651,145 Dupray Neat Steam Cleaners due to a significant risk of burn hazards or serious injury. According to the CPSC, the steam cleaner’s boiler may rupture if overfilled, corroded, or if its pressure release valve malfunctions. This malfunction could lead to severe burns or other serious injuries to users and bystanders.

The affected products are the portable Dupray Neat Steam Cleaners, model number DUP020WNA, with batch/date codes ranging from 0118-01 through 0425-05. These steam cleaners, designed for cleaning, detailing, sanitizing, and deodorizing household surfaces, come with a white base, a black flexible hose, and an accessory set. Consumers can locate the model and batch/date codes on the rating label found on the bottom of the cleaner. Dupray USA LLC, based in Newark, Delaware, imported these units, which were manufactured in China.
The recall, initiated on February 26, 2026, comes after Dupray USA received 15 reports of boiler ruptures. These incidents resulted in four reports of minor burns, bruises, lacerations, and a broken wrist. Additionally, at least seven reports indicated minor property damage. Consumers who own one of these steam cleaners are strongly advised to stop using the product immediately.
To address the hazard, Dupray USA is offering a free replacement safety boiler cap to eligible consumers. To determine eligibility and to receive instructions for obtaining the new cap, consumers must visit dupray.com/recall. They will need to provide their steam cleaner’s batch code, which is located on the bottom of the unit. The replacement safety cap is designed for easy installation with a simple screw-on mechanism.
These Dupray Neat Steam Cleaners were sold nationwide from April 2018 through December 2025, with an approximate retail price of $150. They were available for purchase online at dupray.com, as well as through major retailers including Home Depot, Lowe’s, Macy’s, and Walmart, and online via Amazon.com. Approximately 96,530 units were also sold in Canada.
