The St. Patrick’s Day Festival, part of the “2nd Saturday” series, will take place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Hub City Brewery. Festivities will span from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with “Baile Bagels & Brews” continuing the celebration from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. This event will feature a “Run Fest” with one-mile, 5K, and 8K races suitable for all ages and skill levels, with registration available online. Attendees can also enjoy live Irish music from Poor Man’s Gambit at Hub City Brewery between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The city is sponsoring this event.
Following the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, the Washington County Running Festival is scheduled for Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Meritus Park from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This event will feature a half-marathon through downtown Hagerstown, with registration information also accessible online. The City of Hagerstown is sponsoring this athletic event.
April will commence with the “Taste of Downtown” on Saturday, April 11, 2026, a “2nd Saturday” event where participating downtown restaurants will offer small tasting portions from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Further details and ticket information for this culinary event will be released soon. Downtown Hagerstown Main Street is hosting this gastronomic exploration.
Sports enthusiasts can look forward to the Opening Day of the Hagerstown Flying Boxcars on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Meritus Park, with the game scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. This marks the start of the team’s 2026 season.
The following day, Saturday, April 25, 2026, will feature “One Love Fest” at University Plaza from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Hosted by Afro Soca Love, this event promises a culturally immersive musical experience showcasing genres from around the world, including Soca, Afrobeat, Reggae, Dancehall, Salsa, Reggaeton, Merengue, Zouk, Kompa, and hip hop and R&B. Tickets for “One Love Fest” can be purchased online.
May will begin with a combined event on Friday, May 1, 2026, at University Plaza. “Music in the Plaza” will run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., featuring live music from The Cruisers playing hits from the 60s and 70s. Simultaneously, the Alsatia Club will host its annual classic car show, “Thunder in the Square,” beginning at 5:00 p.m. This event is hosted by Downtown Hagerstown Main Street and the Alsatia Club.
The “Hagerfest Music & Art Festival” is set for Saturday, May 2, 2026, and will transform downtown Hagerstown from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. This event aims to celebrate the city’s arts and entertainment scene with free performances and activities, including the National Mural Awards. Free live music will be provided by the Mack Berry Band and The Reagan Years at University Plaza, hosted by Renewal by Anderson. The festival will also feature live painting by various artists creating new murals, alongside graffiti art, spoken word performances, poetry readings, and a latte art competition. A “Party in the U-S-A” afterparty is scheduled to take place at Hub City Brewery. The Hagerstown Arts & Entertainment District is hosting this comprehensive arts and music festival.
The “2nd Saturday” series will continue on May 8, 2026, with an “Art Walk” in downtown Hagerstown from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This event will include a chalk walk and guided tours of the Cultural Trail. Further details are forthcoming. Downtown Hagerstown Main Street is hosting this artistic showcase. On the same day, “Porchfest” will offer free live music on the front porches of homes along South Prospect Street from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Information regarding performers for Porchfest will be announced at a later date. The City of Hagerstown is sponsoring this neighborhood music event.
The month of May will conclude with the “Battle of the Cheesesteaks” on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the City Central Parking Lot from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Details for this culinary competition are still to be announced. Downtown Hagerstown Main Street is hosting this event.
