For those requiring inspections for specific improvements such as curbs, sidewalks, grading, or stormwater management, direct contact with the Engineering Department is necessary. This department can be reached at 301-739-8577, extension 115. Similarly, inquiries for fence or zoning inspections should be directed to the Planning & Zoning office, available at 301-739-8577, extension 138. The City’s website provides a direct link to the required permit inspection request form: hagerstownmd.org/1216/Permit-Inspection-Request. This shift aims to streamline the permit inspection request process and improve efficiency. Residents are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the online form and alternative contact methods prior to the January 1, 2026 deadline.
