The schedule for Baltimore’s major festivals in 2026 includes Artscape, which will take place on Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24, coinciding with Memorial Day Weekend. Following this, the AFRAM festival is slated for Friday, June 19, through Sunday, June 22. This year marks AFRAM’s 50th anniversary, and its dates align with the Juneteenth holiday weekend. Later in the summer, the Baltimore Caribbean Carnival is scheduled for Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12. The fall season will feature the Baltimore Book Festival on Saturday, September 12, and Sunday, September 13, followed closely by Charm City Live on Saturday, September 19. Further details regarding these five significant festivals will be disseminated in 2026.

In addition to the established festivals, Baltimore will launch a New Year’s Eve Spectacular at the Inner Harbor to conclude 2025 and welcome 2026. This event is set to commence at 6:00 PM and extend through midnight, featuring a fireworks display, live entertainment, various vendors, and ice skating. The festivities will also include local performances at the Harbor, with fireworks planned from barges positioned between Point Park and Domino Sugar, as well as in the Inner Harbor Channel. This strategic placement aims to provide optimal viewing for attendees located around the Inner Harbor and Federal Hill.

To assist event organizers with planning, the city will introduce an updated public-facing special events calendar on January 1, 2026. This new system will incorporate designated “Non-Permit Dates” designed to help organizers coordinate their events with the availability of city services, aiming for smoother execution of large-scale gatherings.

Beyond the major festivals, the Mayor’s Office of Arts, Culture and Entertainment, in collaboration with Charm TV and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO), will present a special program in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on January 19, 2026. This performance is scheduled for 7:30 PM at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. The BSO, under the direction of Music Director Jonathon Heyward, will feature a joint performance with the Morgan State University Choir, led by Dr. Eric Conway, to commemorate Dr. King’s legacy.

The year 2026 also holds significance as it marks the 250th anniversary of the United States, with Baltimore playing a role in national commemorative events. This includes SAIL250 Maryland & Air Show Baltimore, which is scheduled to take place from June 26 to July 4, 2026. A comprehensive list of busy dates and the updated event calendar will be accessible on the city’s website starting January 1, 2026.

Applications are currently being accepted for the 2026 Black History Month Parade, which will take place on President’s Day. This event coincides with the nationwide celebration of the 100th anniversary of Black History Month. Information regarding application details can be found on the city’s official website.
