DHS’ new website “Worst of the Worst,” supposedly compiles data on “the worst” individuals deemed to be criminal undocumented immigrants apprehended by the department since the beginning of the Trump administration. The online resource, accessible at wow.dhs.gov, allows the public to view information on individuals arrested across all 50 states. According to DHS, these arrests include those with criminal histories encompassing offenses such as homicide, assault, rape, drug trafficking, child molestation, cruelty toward a child, battery, and armed robbery. But diving deeper into the data reveals an interesting fact of note – some of the “Worst of the Worst” were only convicted of lesser crimes, such as shoplifting or drug possession.

This article was updated 12/10/2025 to include search results for “homicide” which is listed separate from “murder” in the data.

While most of the aliens listed as “Worst of the Worst” had multiple criminal offenses, some only had a single criminal offense, such as shoplifting. When charges like shoplifting and possession of marijuana are being listed as “Worst of the Worst” by DHS, the context in the deportation of Melissa Tran becomes much clearer – ICE is targeting the removal of any illegal alien convicted of a crime, no matter how small. Tran is not listed on the website as one of the “Worst of the Worst”, but hundreds of Maryland arrests are.

The following is not an exhaustive list of every crime in the database, but a sampling of the number of results for each search term.

According to the department, the webpage aims to provide transparency by showcasing the criminal undocumented immigrants being apprehended, the nature of their offenses, and the communities from which they were removed. The department stated that the initiative is designed to allow Americans to see firsthand the individuals arrested by DHS and the crimes they have committed, offering an alternative to relying solely on media reports. This resource is being introduced amid ongoing discussions about sanctuary city policies and what the department characterizes as “malicious lies and hoaxes” distorting the work of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers. The webpage will initially feature approximately 10,000 arrests, with plans for ongoing updates.

We will continue to analyze the “Worst of the Worst” website as it is updated.

Because the criminal convictions may have occurred across numerous states and DHS did not provide the specific court disposition records needed for verification, Radio Free Hub City was unable to independently confirm the specific convictions for individuals through local and state public court records. As noted by GAO, DHS does not fully explain its methodology in calculating its statistics, and they cannot be verified.
