Washington County Public Schools will now be CLOSED today, Tuesday, December 2, 2025, due to snow-covered roads across the county and more winter weather to come in the
Washington County Government announces that liberal leave will be in effect until 10:00 a.m. for all non-essential employees. Essential personnel are expected to report as scheduled and perform their duties as usual.
The Washington County Circuit Court will have a delayed opening today, December 2, 2025. All staff should report at 9:00 a.m., and court will begin at 10:00 a.m. All hearings scheduled before 10:00 a.m. will now begin at 10:00 a.m.
Transit will operate on a normal schedule, however, routes may be modified due to road conditions.
The 40 West Landfill and all transfer stations will open at normal operating hours.
Due to the weather forecast and other unforeseen circumstances, all Franklin County Senior Activity Centers will be closed on Tuesday, December 2.
Fort Detrick will OPEN at 1000. Consult with your agency for final guidance about options for unscheduled leave or unscheduled telework. Non-Emergency Employees who report to the office will be granted excused absence (administrative leave) for the appropriate amount of work time missed. Emergency Employees are expected to report to their worksites on time unless otherwise directed by their agencies. All gates are operating under normal hours.
