According to the indictment, Turner allegedly traveled from his home state to Maryland with the specific intent to kill his former spouse, identified as Crimea Baker. During the course of this alleged offense, Turner is accused of fatally shooting both Ms. Baker and a second victim, Sean Lange. The indictment itself represents an allegation, and Turner is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The investigation and subsequent indictment were the result of a collaborative effort involving multiple law enforcement agencies. U.S. Attorney Hayes acknowledged the contributions of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Baltimore Field Office, the Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office, and the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office. Additionally, law enforcement from the Miami-Dade Police Department, Miami Beach Police Department, Hialeah Gardens Police Department, Fort Lauderdale Police Department, and the Bartow County Police Department in Georgia were recognized for their involvement. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Kim Y. Hagan and James G. O’Donohue III are leading the prosecution of this case.
