Authorities became aware of potential criminal activity involving Pridgeon during a visit to Maryland in September of this year. He returned to the state on October 21 and checked into a Frederick hotel that afternoon. Investigators learned that Pridgeon had arranged to meet an individual he believed to be a minor with the intent of engaging in sexual activity. Shortly after leaving his hotel, detectives apprehended Pridgeon without incident. He was subsequently transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center, where he was held without bond pending a court appearance before the District Court Commissioner. Due to the sensitive nature of the investigation, further details are not being released at this time.
