The “Visualize 2050” plan, alongside the 2026–2029 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and the Air Quality Conformity Analysis Report, are open for public comment from October 23 to November 21, 2025. Public feedback is considered crucial in helping regional leaders prioritize investments, identify potential gaps, and refine future iterations of the plan.
Individuals interested in contributing their perspectives can do so through several channels. The draft plan is available for review online. Written comments can be submitted via email to TPBComment@mwcog.org or by mail to the TPB Chair, National Capital Region Transportation Planning Board, 777 North Capitol Street NE, Suite 300, Washington, DC 20002. For those who prefer to voice their opinions audibly, a phone line is available at (202) 962-3774, allowing for voicemails up to three minutes in length. Additionally, comments can be shared through the MWCOG’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
The public comment period is a vital step in ensuring that the transportation strategies developed are aligned with the needs and aspirations of the communities they serve. By participating, residents can directly influence the long-term transportation landscape of their region, impacting everything from commute times to environmental sustainability and economic opportunity.
