The recall specifically affects Bioremedy Infrared Sauna Blankets with a variety of model numbers, including LP-BRMDYL-BLK, LP-BRMDYL-GRY, LP-BRMDYR-BLK, LP-BRMDYR-GRY, LP-BRMDYR-BLU, LP-BRMDYR-PNK, and LP-BRMDYR-PRPL. A key identifier for the recalled units is that they feature a control pad with a gray face. The blankets were sold in two sizes, regular (31 inches by 71 inches) and large (36 inches by 76 inches), and were available in black, gray, pink, and purple. Both the Lifepro brand name and the specific model number are printed on the front of the blankets and their controllers.
The issue stems from the blankets’ tendency to overheat, posing a risk of burns to users. Lifepro Fitness has reported receiving 65 incidents of overheating, with 32 of these resulting in burn injuries. Consumers are strongly advised to immediately cease using and unplug the recalled sauna blankets.
To address the hazard, consumers should visit Lifepro’s website to obtain instructions on how to participate in the recall and receive a replacement sauna blanket. It is imperative that consumers follow local regulations for the disposal of the recalled blankets. The recalled units were sold exclusively online through Lifepro.com and Amazon.com, as well as at retail stores including Walmart, QVC, and Dick’s Sporting Goods. These sales occurred between September 2022 and June 2025, with prices ranging from $179 to $199.
Consumers seeking more information or wishing to initiate the recall process can contact Lifepro toll-free at 888-491-1690, Monday through Friday, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET. Alternatively, inquiries can be directed via email to recalls@lifeprofitness.com or through the recall-specific webpage at https://lifeprofitness.com/recall. The company’s main website, https://lifeprofitness.com, also provides a link to recall information.
