The Hagerstown Professional Firefighters have been working with Operation Warm for over 13 years, during which time they have provided more than 2,500 new coats to students attending Title 1 schools in Washington County. The funding for these coats is entirely sourced from the Hagerstown Professional Firefighters Charitable Foundation, underscoring the organization’s dedication to community welfare. This program is designed to offer not only physical warmth but also emotional comfort and confidence to young students, thereby supporting their academic and social development.

The community school manager for Salem Avenue Elementary highlighted the importance of such donations. “Thank you to Operation Warm for providing coats to our students,” stated Dominic Gianninoto, Community School Manager for Salem Avenue Elementary. “Here at the 1323 (Salem Ave Elementary), we are committed to meeting our students’ needs and ensuring they are here every day to access their learning. Through this generous donation, we can help keep our students warm and ready to learn all winter long.”
