Kaden Snyder, a lifelong resident of Washington County, Maryland, has officially declared his candidacy for the Washington County Board of County Commissioners. Snyder, who has a background in state government, healthcare, and education, announced his intention to run on October 23, 2025, positioning himself as an advocate for taxpayers and a challenger to the status quo.

“I am running for County Commissioner because, as a lifelong resident, I believe our county is at a crossroads,” said Snyder. “I have seen firsthand in my career how the government should work, and I’ve seen how it fails us. We need a commissioner who understands the system from the inside and isn’t afraid to challenge it. My commitment is to the taxpayer, not the political insiders.”

Snyder’s campaign is centered on four core principles designed to address what he describes as critical issues facing the county. His platform includes a commitment to cutting wasteful spending through a comprehensive review of the county budget, with the aim of ensuring taxpayer dollars are utilized more efficiently. He also vows to combat corruption by increasing transparency within the commissioner’s office and challenging established political networks.
