The recalled fans, measuring approximately 3.6 inches wide by 4 inches tall, were available for purchase on HSN.com and through the HSN television network between May 2025 and July 2025. The original purchase price ranged from $20 to $25. The manufacturer of these products is Guangzhou Jiguang Lighting Co. Ltd., located in Guangzhou, China. Consumers have reported four instances where the portable waist fan melted or caught fire while charging. Fortunately, no injuries or property damage have been reported in connection with these incidents.
Consumers who own the affected Living Glow portable waist fan are advised to immediately cease using the product. To obtain a full refund, individuals must register for the recall at https://www.waistfanrecall.info. Following registration, consumers will receive instructions on how to disable the fan. It is crucial that these recalled lithium-ion batteries and devices are not disposed of in regular household trash, standard recycling bins, or in-store battery recycling containers. Due to the heightened fire risk associated with recalled lithium-ion batteries, disposal methods differ from those for other battery types. Consumers should contact their local municipal household hazardous waste (HHW) collection center to inquire about proper disposal procedures. It is recommended to call ahead and confirm if they accept recalled lithium-ion batteries before bringing the device to the center.
