The recalled Scripto® Premium Torches are identifiable by their four-position adjustable metal nozzle, adjustable flame, hands-free operation lock, black ergonomic non-slip rubber grip, and a metal base with a black velvet bottom. Consumers can confirm if their product is part of this recall by checking for the UPC number “0-70257-52226-6” printed on the back of the product box. These torches were sold nationwide at Walmart and Home Depot stores, as well as online through Walmart.com and Homedepot.com, between November 2024 and August 2025, with a retail price of around $15.
Consumers are urged to immediately stop using the recalled torches. To receive a full refund or store credit, affected individuals should return the product to the retailer where it was purchased. Alternatively, consumers can contact Calico Brands directly for instructions on how to return the torches and obtain a full refund. Calico Brands will provide a prepaid shipping label and appropriate hazardous materials packaging to facilitate the return of the torches at no cost to the consumer. Further information and return instructions can be found by contacting Calico Brands toll-free at 800-544-4837 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. PT, Monday through Friday, by emailing premiumtorchrecall@calicobrands.com, or by visiting http://www.calicobrands.com/premiumtorchrecall.html or http://www.calicobrands.com and navigating to the “Product Recall” section. While no incidents or injuries have been reported in relation to this specific recall, the potential hazard necessitates immediate action from consumers.
