The transition to a cashless system will see new signage posted throughout the city, indicating which parking spots require payment via the PayByPhone app. These signs are expected to be fully installed on parking space poles, facing the sidewalk, by the first week of September. While the app will be the exclusive method for paying for street parking and use of city-managed lots, drivers can still use cash or credit cards at all city parking decks. For those who may require assistance with downloading or using the PayByPhone application, the City of Hagerstown Parking Division has provided a contact number: 301-739-8577, extensions 479 or 445.
