The dance is scheduled to commence with doors opening at 6:30 PM, followed by live music from Generations Big Band starting at 7:00 PM. The event will continue until 10:00 PM. The Hagerstown Aviation Museum, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and showcasing over a century of regional aviation history, is hosting this dance as part of its celebration of Fairchild Aircraft’s 100th Anniversary. The museum will soon be home to the A-10 “Warthog” and aims to tell the stories of locally manufactured aircraft and the individuals who contributed to aviation history.

Attendees are encouraged to embrace the era by dressing in 1940s attire, although period dress is not a requirement for entry. The event is open to individuals aged 21 and older, with valid identification required at the door. This is a cashless event, meaning only credit card payments will be accepted for tickets and any purchases made during the evening.

Tickets are priced at $30 when purchased in advance, with a limited number available at the door for $40. The museum highlights that tickets often sell out quickly. The proceeds generated from the Hangar Dance will directly support the Hagerstown Aviation Museum’s ongoing preservation and presentation efforts.

The venue for the event is the Hagerstown Aviation Museum, located at 18450 Showalter Road, Building 8, Hagerstown, Maryland 21742. Visitors will have the chance to take photographs amidst vintage aircraft and can opt for a commemorative photo opportunity in a World War II Willy’s Jeep.

Information and tickets are at the museum website.
