The incident took place on April 8, 2024, when Snyder led Pennsylvania State Police on a chase that reached speeds of 90 miles per hour through Union and Snyder counties. This case was part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a Department of Justice initiative aimed at reducing violent crime and gun offenses by fostering partnerships between law enforcement and local communities. The program emphasizes trust-building, supporting violence prevention efforts, and data-driven enforcement strategies to improve public safety.
