Approximately 9,000 units of the product are affected. The clear glass bottles, marketed as containing “Pure Gum Spirits” or “Quality Gum Spirits,” were sold online from June 2023 through May 2025 for $20 to $40 through platforms including Amazon, Etsy, Ebay, and the manufacturer’s website. The recall, initiated on July 24, 2025, notes that while no injuries have been reported, the packaging violates the Poison Prevention Packaging Act, which mandates child-resistant closures for toxic substances such as turpentine.
Consumers in possession of the recalled bottles should immediately secure them out of children’s reach and contact Creekwood Naturals to obtain a replacement child-resistant closure. The company is providing the replacement for free, and requests that affected customers fill out a form at https://creekwoodnaturals.com/pages/recall.

The recall serves as a reminder for families to regularly review household chemical storage practices. Unsafe access to turpentine and similar products can lead to severe injury or death if ingested. Creekwood Naturals, based in Corona, California, manufactured the recalled products in the United States. Consumers who encounter issues obtaining a remedy can contact the CPSC directly through their official complaint channels.
