Per a safety alert issued by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), approximately 150 Duwiikab Youth ATVs sold online earlier this year pose a serious risk of injury or death and should be discarded immediately. The ATVs, which were available on Amazon and possibly other platforms between January and June 2025, fail to meet multiple federal safety standards, putting young riders at risk.

According to the CPSC, the affected ATVs are missing several critical safety components, including parking brakes, tail lamps, stop lamps, and required safety reflectors—features essential for visibility and crash prevention. Additionally, the units do not include federally mandated safety labels and hang tags, nor do they adhere to a required ATV action plan meant to ensure training, safety information, and age-appropriate usage guidelines.

Despite receiving a formal Notice of Violation, the seller, Huagum of China (operating as Duwiikab), has not initiated a recall or provided any consumer remedy. Federal law prohibits the distribution of ATVs without an approved safety plan, and these violations contribute to an ongoing pattern of unsafe off-highway vehicles being marketed to minors. The ATVs were sold for about $350 each and feature a black design with red and white “Sport Spirit” stickers.

CPSC data highlights the broader danger posed by unsafe youth ATVs, with an annual average of over 100 fatalities and nearly 28,000 emergency department-treated injuries among children under 16 linked to off-highway vehicles. The agency is advising consumers to stop using these ATVs immediately and dispose of them according to local hazardous product protocols. Consumers are also encouraged not to sell or give the vehicles away, to prevent further harm.

Any injuries or defects linked to these ATVs should be reported to the CPSC through www.SaferProducts.gov. The agency continues to monitor ATV safety compliance and encourages public participation in identifying unsafe products.
