According to federal authorities, the children were believed to be at risk of exploitation, including forced labor and potential human trafficking. During the operations, over 500 individuals attempted to interfere, with four U.S. citizens now facing criminal charges for assaulting or resisting federal officers. One of the rioters reportedly fired a handgun at officers; the FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to that suspect’s arrest.
