According to the Frederick Police Department, officers discovered evidence of multiple rounds discharged along Burck Street between Madison Street and W South Street. The gunfire struck several residences, although no one was harmed. Investigators believe the shooting may be linked to a previous incident on June 23 involving gunfire in the area of Walker Alley and Lord Nickens Street, suggesting a possible ongoing threat.
The department is urging anyone with relevant information to come forward, offering both direct and anonymous tip options through Detective Nicole Smith or the department’s Crime Tip Line. Those with tips may also qualify for a reward through Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland if the information leads to an arrest.
