The defect stems from a damaged connector in the HVAC blower motor that can cause the system to fail. If the blower motor becomes inoperative, it may prevent the windshield from defrosting properly, potentially violating Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 103. Chrysler will begin notifying dealerships on July 1, 2025, and will start notifying vehicle owners on July 8, 2025. Affected vehicles will be inspected and, if necessary, the blower motor assembly will be replaced at no cost. The recall affects only vehicles manufactured during the suspect period with the faulty part; similar vehicles outside that production window are not included. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has assigned the recall number 25V430.
Drivers who notice that their windshield defogging or air conditioning systems are not functioning should contact their local dealer. In the meantime, owners are advised not to drive the affected vehicles and to park them outdoors as a precaution.
